MN HIE Services
The Minnesota Health Information Exchange (MN HIE) provides you secure access to the exchange of health information online and has several new services that you can begin using in your practice to demonstrate meaningful use today.
Secure Patient Directory (SPD)
- The SPD is similar to a “white pages directory” and contains over 4 million Minnesota patients. In the future it will include patients from bordering states.
- This “white pages directory” can be used to find a specific patient then conduct eligibility checks and view clinical information.
Administrative View
- Our Administrative view saves you time. You may submit eligibility and benefit requests on ALL your patients in ONE place at the same time.
- Responses are displayed in real-time on your screen.
Clinical View
The Patient Summary view provides you with a consolidated view of all available clinical information from providers and health plans. The Patient Summary includes the following information:
- Medication history – last 12 months of prescription history aggregated across prescribers.
- Immunizations – saves you time by allowing you to view immunization history and submit vaccines to MIIC, without having to log into MIIC in a separate screen.
- Lab history – aggregated across providers, abnormal results flagged, see all details.
- Clinical care documents (CCD) – complete clinical summary easily viewable for conditions, treatments and other medical information by episode of care, date range or provider.
- ePrescribing – available 2010
- Claims – available 2010
