MN HIE Services

Immediate access to patient's medication history
Medication history is currently available in MN HIE. With patient consent or in the event of a medical emergency, MN HIE provides immediate access to a patient's medication history for the past 12 months.

Additional services Fall 2009
New services will be available in Fall of 2009, including patient eligibility, lab results, immunization history and exchange of medical record information.

Easy to use
MN HIE services can be embedded into an existing EMR or accessed via a secure Web application. You enter a patient's insurance ID card number OR their name, zip code and date of birth, select patient consent or medical emergency, and select search. MN HIE displays a list of medications that have been submitted to the patient’s health plan as a claim in the past 12 months.
